Christianity Explored is a course for people who think they’d like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. It explores:
Who Jesus is... Why he died... and What it means to follow him.
You are not asked to pray, sing or read aloud and you can ask any question you like. Or, if you prefer, you can come along and simply listen.
Christianity Explored is a 7 week course which gets to grips with some basic issues of life and the relevance of the Christian faith. It is designed for those who want to take a closer look at Christianity whether you have previous experience of church, Christians and the bible or none at all. Everyone is welcome. We will respect your background, culture and beliefs. You can tell us as little or as much about yourself as you feel comfortable with.
The course takes place usually on weekday evenings or lunch hours at 25 Bath Street, and starts with coffee/tea and cake. The course is normally run in small groups of approximately 4-8 people, and after briefly discussing the course material from the week before, there is a 30 minute talk on the theme for that week which hopefully you will find stimulating! Then the groups discuss any questions that have arisen, the whole session lasting approximately 90 minutes. Of course, you are welcome to stick around a bit longer for a coffee and to discuss any further issues you might have.
The group leaders will facilitate discussion and try to answer questions. You don’t need to speak in the group if you don’t want to. You are welcome to just come along and sit and listen! The course costs nothing, all materials for the course will be provided, and you are free to pull out at any time.
Our next Christianity Explored course will be starting on Friday the 2nd of May, from 7.30 to 9.00pm. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
