The Bible on Sex
The Bible’s teaching on sex isn’t an easy topic to deal with, especially in public, but Dr Philip seeks to present the Bible’s teaching in a sensitive and clear way, to a society particularly obsessed with sex. There may be no more of it going on now that at other times, but it has become especially deified in our society. Simultaneously seen as the source of joy and self-worth, sexual liberation and all deviation from God’s standards in this area has brought tremendous sorrow and emptiness. So what does society say about sex, and what does God say in his word the Bible about sex and about our attitudes to it? How can we think distinctively Christianly about this?

Ministry of Women
In this topical and relevant series on the Biblical Ministries of Christian Women, Edward Lobb counteracts the modern trend and socially acceptable concept of secular feminism. The study commences in Genesis and looks at the equality, diversity and complimentary functions of the sexes within the Church and society. God’s ordering in Church, home and family life, whether married or single is looked at sensitively. An unapologetic stand on the authoritative Biblical view of the differing roles is discussed. Practical applications on living as a single person, or within marriage, and our relationship to each other, come under the scrutiny of sound Biblical teaching. In the joy and fulfilment of caring, loving and growing together within the framework of a live Christian fellowship, there is equality of status, but not of function. An appreciation of each other’s abilities and gifts in the church reflect God’s Love and Law; and the Christian woman is a blessing within her God appointed role.
